Payment Links fallback

If the give page is down, staff post one Stripe Payment Link per fund within 15 minutes. Gifts still land on the church's Stripe account and post the same way.

Fake test links

These URLs are made up for the sandbox and go nowhere. The live links are created in the church's Stripe dashboard and kept in the giving runbook. Keep them working: they are the Sunday fallback for giving.

When to switch

  1. The give page or the redirect to Checkout is down, on a Sunday or during an appeal.
  2. Staff post the fund links where donors look: the website and the live-stream description. The message above is ready to paste.
  3. Gifts arrive in Stripe with the fund in the link's metadata, so payouts and journal entries need no special handling.
  4. When the give page is back, the links come down and the incident is written up.
